Parallel Numerical Computation Applied to science and engineering.
Objective:
The course is organized to familiarize the participant with ideas, concepts and tools available in High Performance Computing.
General Overview:
Through intensive practice the participant will acquire knowledge and latest computing techniques in the area of parallel computing that will allow us to tackle with great efficiency common problems that are often encountered in Science and Engineering that could only be analyzed quantitatively through the use of computing that require parallel computing to obtain results in a reasonable time.
Prerequisites:
Participants must be familiarized with a programming language, preferably Fortran or C. The work environment is Linux and it is recommended to be familiarized with this operating system.
Themes:
1. Numerical Methods
2. Parallel Computing
3. Code Entonation
4 Introduction to OpenMP
5.Introduction to MPI
Instructors:
